Mr HOOSON developed an infection having aspirated his nutrition and passed away due to aspiration pneumonia. A known side effect of tube feeding is the risk of aspiration upon food and drink. He had been fed since May 2022 via a nasogastric tube. Mr HOOSON had been the victim of an assault in 1991 which caused quadriplegia, including swallowing difficulties.
